SPC students are eligible to apply for funding from the School to pursue SPC related activities.

Funding Guidelines

The activity should be closely related to the aims of SPC. Typical activities that would satisfy this includes presentation of conference paper that is the outcome of SPC related research, internship in a research organization and competitions related to the computing area.

Funding will be awarded on a competitive and case-by-case basis. The School will try to support as much of the expenditure as possible but we expect you to also seek external support such as travel grant from the conference you are participating in.

Funded students are obliged to uphold the image of SoC while away and write a report or article about the activity. We also expect that the student would be willing to use the experience gained to help the programme e.g. by being a student SIG mentor or by describing their experience in recruitment sessions.

To apply please use this form.

For presentation of a conference paper, please check whether you are eligible for the SoC Undergraduate Research Award first before applying.
